
Lacan in Beijing
On 13 February, the first soiree devoted to translations of Lacan, took place at the school of the Freudian Cause in Paris, under the title "Lacan in Beijing". This soiree is part of a series presented by Laura Sokolowsky responsible for the direction of the the library’s activities at the School. The guests tell us about translating Lacan: Gérard Miller, psychoanalyst member of the School of the Freudian Cause and Director of the Department of Psychoanalysis at Paris 8 University; Nathalie Charraud, mathematician, psychoanalyst of the School of the Freudian Cause, author of the book "The ethics of desire, an introduction to Jacques Lacan's teaching" published in Chinese in Beijing; Fabienne Hulak, Member psychoanalyst of the School of the Freudian Cause, Professor and Director of Research in the Department of psychoanalysis; as well as four young Chinese translators who came from China to Paris to continue their studies in the Department of Psychoanalysis at Paris 8 University: Ju Rui, Wu Rui and Xu Yajun Wang Ting Ting.
