The cycle of conferences entitled "A look from Psychoanalysis on current issues", organised by the SCF in San Sebastian, received Miquel Bassols who, analysing the experience of exile, postulated the truth that lies at the heart of the exiled subject: that of feeling "condemned to a living death", as Aristotle and Cicero said in the times when exile was equivalent to being literally left without a land, outside the world of the living. Today's exiles, the landless migrants, are also a figure of the exiled truth, of a subject exiled from itself.
