On the 22nd of April 2025, the WAP Seminar, "Cutting the Session", was held by the EOL's Uruguay Delegation, led by Laurent Dupont, in conversation with the current president of the EOL, Silvia Tendlarz, and coordinated by Ana Inés Bertón. In Lacanian logic, the cutting of the session is linked to contingency or the formations of the unconscious and not to the clock. A logic of cutting in which allusive interpretation keeps the door to meaning open without giving it away. In the orientation towards the real, both in the cut of the session and supervision, the same logic comes into play. Supervision keeps in check the position of the analyst. The act cannot be verified in supervision, only its consequences.
