Olga Montón interviews Jorge Alemán on the occasion of Ernesto Laclau’s death, researcher and Argentinean political theoretician, Professor at the University of Essex, and Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Buenos Aires, among other Argentinean Universities. Among his most frequently mentioned books are: Hegemony and Socialist strategy; and The populist reason. The conversation turned around his link with the Lacanian theory; the proposal of his political thought and his relationship with the emerging political movements. Jorge Alemán is AME (Analyst member of the School) of the ELP, ELP/WAP member and teacher of the NUCEP (Madrid). His latest published work is "Guesses for a left Lacanian" (2013).
