EOL- ICdeBA. Presentation of the book "Clinical Conversation" UFORCA.
On the 6th of November, 2020, the book "Clinical Conversation" was presented to the entire community. Alejandra Glaze was in charge of the book launch. The activity was organized between the EOL and the Instituto Clínico de Buenos Aires in the new virtual way of meeting that allows to sustain a bond, a bond that is still psychoanalysis and that opens the possibility that psychoanalysts of different countries of America and Europe: Paris, Barcelona, Mexico City, and Buenos Aires can speak to us. This book “Clinical Conversation” is the product of a conversation held in Paris in a format inaugurated by the meeting of d’Arcachón in 1997, open to all the public, convened by UFORCA around 8 clinical cases discussed by members of that association. UFORCA is the Union for Clinical Analytical Training. An association that brings together since 1996, the 18 French-speaking clinical sections located both in France and Belgium. Guy Briole proposes a reading of the introductory lines to J. A. Miller’s book to capture all the salt and relief. Taking note that in the time and place of the conversation it is the observation of a reorientation that arises from these conversations. It is not a clinic of the last word. It is a democratic and continuous clinic. A living clinic oriented by the last teaching of Lacan. Causality is the feature that Graciela Brodsky cuts out and takes to guide her presentation. “Psychosis has no prehistory”, Lacan's phrase that slips into “the real has no prehistory”. The real has no relation to the minute elements of early childhood. From there the book is rewritten. The real is neither cause nor effect, it is written in the body, it is always current. It points out that the book is indispensable for the practitioner. Finally, Leonardo Gorostiza divides his presentation into 4 parts. 1- Origins, in the conferences of 1998, “The weight of the ideals” takes the definition of “Conceptual Happening “. 2- Tension, hypothesis the clinical conversation is to resolve the opposition between maximum singularity and the elaboration of knowledge, inventing on the spot. 3-Antidote: against the group dialect [koine], that produces a flattening of language. 4- Conclusion, 2 references: Michele Silvestre and Theodore Zeldin.
