Elections of sex in Radio Lacan: A Disturbed Relationship with the Body
Radio Lacan has wanted to be present in the preparation of the annual meeting of the Schools of the WAP. On 6th and 7th December, the ELP will hold their 13th Conference, which is entitled "Election of the sex. From standard to invention". We think that cinema addresses some of these elections from different perspectives, and we've invited some of our colleagues from the various schools of the WAP so they could give us little hints about how they think that some film director in particular deals with this issue. On this occasion we invited María Hortensia Cárdenas, who wonders -through the film ‘’Normal’’, directed by Jane Anderson-, whether sexuality can be an election for a subject today; an election that could be a response to being, being a man or being a woman… María Hortensia Cárdenas is a psychoanalyst in Lima, AME, member of the NEL and of the WAP. She was president of the NEL between 2006 and 2008. In January 2015 she will assume the Direction of the NEL-Lima. She lectures at the Centre for Research and Teaching (Centro de Investigación y Docencia CID-Lima) and she is Director of the NEL Journal of Psychoanalysis: Bitácora Lacaniana. Edition: Carmen Conca. Carmen Conca is a psychoanalyst in Zaragoza, member of the ELP and the WAP. Correspondent in Spain and member of Radio Lacan’s International Committee.
