First preparatory meeting for the ninth Congress of the WAP: "a real, what are the stakes and changes for psychoanalysis in the 21st century?"
This first meeting hosted three compelling participations to advance in the reflection on the subject of the next Congress of the WAP. Firstly, Guy Briole, director of the Congress, intervened with the title "Zoom on the cause/effect". In his speech, he addressed the incidence of rupture of the cause/effect on the emergence of a real without law and its implications for psychoanalysis in the 21st century. Then Jean-Daniel Matet, still President of the ECF, proposed a questioning about the issue of the construction of the case in psychoanalysis, with the title "the clinic: what is a case?". His presentation focused on the ethical demand that founds the practice of analysts at the time of the classification of masses, stressing "the taste, the desire that animates the analyst who does not back up at the difficulty of a case and its preparation". To close the meeting, Laure Naveau, coordinator of Papers from the Committee of action of the one school, proposed a deep and current reflection with the title "another disorder...” Laure Naveau declined with brilliance the following proposition: Because "psychoanalysis accompanies the subject in the protest that they raised against the discomfort of civilization", the disorder which is responsible for psychoanalysis is political.
