7th Urban EOL Book Fair
On September 17th 2016 a new edition of the 7th Urban EOL Book Fair took place in Bunos Aires. This cultural event is organized every year by the EOL, to promote the encounter of different disciplines and artistic points of view. On this occasion together with the 7th Book Fair, the exhibition "#Default" by Tito Khabie, and the screening of a short film "Duchamp´s Bride" by Carlos Gustavo Motta was shown, there were three round- table discussions throughout the study-day that questioned the phrase "Have you Wi-Fi?" The first round-table discussion was entitled “Fictions in the Wi-Fi Era". It was coordinated by María Eugenia Cora, and counted on the presence of Natacha Delgado, an actress and theatre director; Alejandra Eidelberg, psychoanalyst; Jazmín Stuart, a film director and an actress; and Maximiliano Tomas, a journalist, a literary critic and an editor. The second round-table discussion was entitled "Contemporary Art between Technology and the City". It was coordinated by Alejandra Antunes and counted on the presence of Jazmín Adler, a researcher, a teacher and a specialist in art and technology curator; Tito Khabie, an artist; Marita Manicotti, a psychoanalyst and photographer, and Valeria Orsi, coordinator of the cycles Experimental Film and Sound Art of the MAMBA (Buenos Aires Museum of Modern Art). The third round-table discussion was entitled "Musical Variations in Times of Streaming". It was coordinated by Liliana Mauas and counted on the presence of the psychoanalyst Claudio Godoy; Augustín Gulman, a journalist and co-director of Radio Border; Oscar López Ruiz, a guitarist, composer and music producer, and Ernesto Snajer, a guitarist, composer and music producer. This event ended with the presentation of Jazz Band "De la fuente". Our colleague Bettina Quiroga spoke with members of the organization committee: Eugenia Cora, Alejandra Antuña, Paula Iglesias Genta and Liliana Mauas.
