Conversation of Madrid. "Migratory Phenomena: Modes of Segregation".
On March 3rd 2018, Zadie-Madrid convened a conversation which took into account essential aspects to think about the issue of immigration today and the segregation that immediately entails: the figure of "the foreigner", of the one who in various circumstances - wars, political, cultural, racial, religious or economic persecutions - decides to change their country and risk the adventure of finding a place in another world that, from the outset and without doubt, will receive him/her in a hostile way.
The other, of utmost interest, concerns "the foreigner" a term with which a quality of each human being is named, in which if it occurs, that it is something in subjectivity itself that the subject finds strange, foreign.
In order to think about and unfold these issues in the conversation, various people from other disciplines committed in their praxis working with foreigners in diverse modalities were invited: Isidro Rodríguez, Emilio Silva, Francisco José Martínez Martínez, Ramiro García de Dios, Patricia Campero Corrales, Enrique Barbero, Rodolfo Rieznik, Andrés Borderías and Santiago Castellanos.
The conversation was coordinated by Dolores Castrillo and Joaquín Caretti Ríos.
